Acting Principal | Jill Neufeld
Thank you for a wonderful first week at Wildwood! It has been lovely getting to know students and staff and learning about all the wonderful things happening here. Have a wonderful weekend!
Grade 5 | Postcards from the Past
The Grade 5 grade-group concert is a musical called "Postcards from the Past". The show includes connections to their social studies curriculum around ancient cultures.
Families are invited to the show on Friday, May 1 at 10:30am in the school gym. Students are asked to wear black or dark colours if possible.
We hope you can come! Please e-mail me if you have any questions.

Donations | Crochet
Crochet is booming at Wildwood! We are asking for donations of yarn and especially crochet hooks so that our students can continue to hone their crochet craft.
Jump Rope For Heart
Due to the heavy snowfall, our Jump Rope for Heart event will be held on Monday April 20 at 12:30 pm.
Festive Foods
Thank you to the families who have registered for Festive Foods through the Healthy Hunger portal. Our next lunch is scheduled for delivery on Thursday, April 30th featuring Opa!
To participate, please make sure your child’s Healthy Hunger profile is set up and your order is placed no later than Saturday, April 25th. You can get started by visiting Healthy Hunger - School. All our orders have been set up in the portal through to the end of the school year and you can always log in to see what events you have not ordered for.
We’re also looking for parent volunteers to help receive, sort, and deliver lunches once or twice a month. If you’re interested in getting involved at the school, please email raj.deol86@gmail.com to be added to our volunteer list. All volunteers must have valid security clearance through Calgary Police Service and complete the volunteer clearance form on MyCBE.

- Thursday, May 14th - Panago Pizza
- Thursday, May 28th - Taco Time
Bake Sale | Grade 6 Fundraiser
On Wednesday, April 29th, the grade 6 students at Wildwood will be hosting a bake and craft sale. This fundraiser goes directly to the grade 6 outdoor school trip, Calaway Park trip, and year end school ceremony. Baked goods will be homemade by grade 6 families or store bought. There will also be crafts made by Ms. Hayley being sold!
All baked goods:
- Are nut free (To help keep our students safe)
- Include a list of ingredients
- And are in individual/precut pieces.
Wildwood families are asked to send their child with cash or change on this day so that they may purchase goods from the bake sale. Items cost $1 - $2. Grade 6 students will be responsible for organizing and selling the goods in the bake sale throughout the day and will be able to help your child with purchasing, along with their teachers.
Thank you for helping us in this fundraiser so we can make our last year at Wildwood School awesome!
Sincerely,
Mr. Buzan, Ms. Waite & Ms. Louie

April 24 | Maatoomsii’ Pookaiks
On April 24, there will be no school for students as staff participate in Maatoomsii’ Pookaiks (Children First), a professional learning day. As part of this, staff will be engaging in community visits to connect with families and learn more about the neighborhoods where our students live. Families are welcome to join us at Shaganappi Village Playground from 8:45–9:45 am or at Connaught School between 10:30–11:30pm for a casual visit with food and refreshments.
