December Fun!
December will see many special and fun days and events!
- December 18: Coffee with Council and Caroling
- Families are invited to grab a cup of coffee and join us in the gym for caroling.
- Please join us through the front doors.
- December 16 - 20: Festive Week!
- Monday Dec 16: Red or Green Day
- Tuesday Dec 17: Festive Hat/Headband Day
- Wednesday Dec 18: Plaid Day
- Thursday Dec 19: Funny Socks/Ugly Sweater Day
- Friday Dec 20: PJ Day
Dress for the Weather
Please ensure that your child comes dressed for the weather. We monitor the temperature closely, and make decisions for each outside opportunity throughout the day. Children should allo have: warm socks, boots, snow pants, a warm jacket, toque and mitts or gloves. If you need help with any of these items please reach out to your child’s teacher.

Notes from Council
TASTY TREATS for the teachers — WEDNESDAY, December 4th
Grades 5 & 2 Families are leading the sweet & savoury treat this month organized by WS Council.
Please drop off a nut and shellfish FREE (homemade or store bought) treat to the Staff room before 10am.
WSC appreciates your support, the teachers appreciate it more!
Volunteers are needed for a few Council committees, you do not need a security clearance to be a part of Council.

December - Gift Card Drive
Would you like an easy way to help some families in your school community this winter break?
Drop off a Gift card or Cash at the office during the month of December.
Parking ,Bus Zones and Staff Parking Lot
- Do not park in front of the school, it is a designated School Bus zone.
- Do not use this area as a drop off, it is a designated School Bus zone
- Do not use the staff parking lot as a pick up and drop off area.
- Do not cut through the parking lot
Festive Foods
There are only 2 Festive Food lunches for the last days of 2024! Order cutoff dates are always 5 days prior to the lunch delivery date (generally the prior Saturday). Visit healthyhunger.ca to register and order for your child.

* Please email raj.deol86@gmail.com if you're making a Gluten Free order for your child and require a Gluten Free Bun. We have to make a separate request to the vendor for this.

It has come to the School Council's attention that a portion of Wildwood School playground is due for renewal!
We are looking for a Wildwood School Playground Committee. Could this be you?
The Playground Committee is dedicated to enhancing the Wildwood School outdoor spaces, focusing on the design, maintenance, and improvement of our playground.
We welcome individuals with diverse expertise, including sourcing grants, preparing grant applications, and approaching and securing sponsors and partners, project management, landscaping, child development, and community engagement.
If you’re passionate about creating safe and engaging environments for children and families, joining our email list is the first step to getting involved.
Your unique skills can help us secure funding and ensure that our playground remain vibrant and accessible for years to come!
