What a special Remembrance Day ceremony we had at Wildwood School. Thank you to the many families that joined us. We also are very proud of our choir and Mrs. Sayer, who performed at the Field of Crosses Sunrise Ceremony.

Lifetouch | Pictures

School pictures are ready!

Your child’s school pictures are now available! To view them online, please log in to your account at mylifetouch.ca. If you don’t have an account yet, you can create one using your email address. You’ll need your student’s ID number to locate their photos.

Important: If you don’t know your student’s ID number, please do not contact the school. Paper proofs containing your login credentials will be sent to your home shortly, allowing you to view the images online.

Bonus: All families can also order a FREE digital Pictures2Protect Card—a great way to keep your child’s photo and emergency info handy. Learn more about the Pictures2Protect program here.

Thank you! —The Lifetouch Team

Dressing for the Weather

It is that time! Please ensure that children come to school every day ready for cold/wet weather. As you know, the weather in Calgary can change quickly and significantly - children need to have warm outdoor clothes. Outdoor clothes should include: a toque, mittens, a thick jacket or layers, socks and warm shoes or boots. All children should have indoor and outdoor shoes. Please label your child’s items. The lost and found is already overflowing!

Traffic

We are pleased that the movement of the entry to the staff parking lot, change of permanent streets signs on 45th ST, change of yield sign to stop sign on 5th AVE and the use of sandwich board reminders appear to be helping traffic flow.

There continues to be significant congestion on 45th ST and 5th AVE.

Please:

SLOW DOWN

Do not jaywalk

Obey traffic laws

Be patient. Everyone is trying to get somewhere. No one is more important than anyone else. But everyone’s safety is very important.

Owl’s Nest Book Fair

We are excited to have local bookshop Owl’s Nest in our school for a book fair on December 4th and 5th! Students will have time to shop, and we welcome parents to pop in too! More information to follow. We will have a Scholastic Book Fair later in the year.

If you are interested in volunteering for the book fair, please reach out to our new library asst, Sayaka Kawasora Lopez - ‘Ms. S’ @ SaKawasoraLopez@cbe.ab.ca
