Owl’s Nest Book Fair

We are excited to have local bookshop Owl’s Nest in our school for a book fair on December 4th and 5th! Students will have time to shop, and we welcome parents to pop in too! More information to follow. We will have a Scholastic Book Fair later in the year.

School Conferences:

We are looking forward to seeing everyone for school conferences. We have shifted our dates by a week - conferences will now be on Friday, November 28th from 8:00 am-1:00 pm, AND Friday, December 5th from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. 

There is NO school on Nov 28th. There IS school in the morning of Dec 5th, 7:57 am to 12:00 pm. 

Sign up will be through MYCBE beginning on Saturday, Nov 22nd at 10:00 am. Both days will offer online OR in person conferences. 

Spring conferences are currently scheduled for 

  • March 13th, 1:00-4:00 pm
  • March 20th 8am -1:00 pm


From School Council:

Kokomo Beach Party - This annual event takes place in February, is a ton of fun and raises money for the school. We are looking for one (or more) people to lead the planning for this event. We are also looking for a silent auction coordinator for the event. 

Volunteer at the school - There is a need for volunteers within the school to help distribute Festive Foods. We are also looking for volunteers for the Worker Bee program, helping out in the school to directly support classroom needs. 

Tru Earth Laundry Detergent Fundraiser -  Supports the environment and our school! Click here to get yours.

Festive Foods

Thank you to the families who have registered for Festive Foods through the Healthy Hunger portal. Our next lunch is scheduled for delivery on Thursday, November 27th featuring Via Cibo.

To participate, please make sure your child’s Healthy Hunger profile is set up and your order is placed no later than tomorrow, Saturday, November 22nd. You can get started by visiting Healthy Hunger - School

We’re also looking for parent volunteers to help receive, sort, and deliver lunches once or twice a month. If you’re interested in getting involved at the school, please email raj.deol86@gmail.com to be added to our volunteer list. All volunteers must have valid security clearance through Calgary Police Service. 

Popcorn Fundraiser | Grade 6 Celebration

Also located in the Healthy Hunger portal is order forms for the Grade 6 Farewell Celebration fundraiser. Proceeds from popcorn sales will help fund Celebration events. Please support this event and order some yummy Kernels popcorn!
