It was a great 3 days at Wildwood. Many smiles and hugs, learning underway, and a bit of Halloween fun to close the week!
Picture Day - New Date
Picture Day has been rescheduled to November 5th. Retakes will be December 9th.
Remembrance Day
Wildwood School will be recognizing Remembrance Day on November 6th at 10:30am. We welcome all families to join us - please come a bit early so you are seated when we begin. If you bring young children, please be prepared to leave the assembly if they become unsettled.
School Calendar and Fall Break
There will be no adjustment to fall break or the general calendar. There has been an extension for IPP’s until November 28th. Wildwood School was well underway with this process - many of you already received them, and most will in the next week or two.
Details will follow regarding any other updates.
School Council News
Next Council Meeting - The November 3 council meeting has been cancelled. We will reconvene as planned on Monday, December 8.
Casino - Our casino fundraiser is taking place November 1 & 2. We still need volunteers. There is an open shift on Sunday night, and we currently have no back up volunteers. Playground - Our playground is due for replacement. We need a fundraising coordinator to get this initiative off the ground. We are also looking for members-at-large for the committee.
Kokomo Beach Party - This annual event takes place in February, is a ton of fun and raises money for the school. We are looking for one (or more) people to lead the planning for this event. We are also looking for a silent auction coordinator for the event.

Festive Foods
Thank you to the families who have registered for Festive Foods through the Healthy Hunger portal. Our next lunch is scheduled for delivery on Thursday, November 6th featuring Panago Pizza.
To participate, please make sure your child’s Healthy Hunger profile is set up and your order is placed no later than tomorrow, Saturday, November 1st. You can get started by visiting Healthy Hunger - School
We’re also looking for parent volunteers to help receive, sort, and deliver lunches once or twice a month. If you’re interested in getting involved at the school, please email raj.deol86@gmail.com to be added to our volunteer list. All volunteers must have valid security clearance through Calgary Police Service.
