Parenting Workshop: Dual Culture Parenting

As parents, we all have a similar journey, but for newcomers, this journey can be especially challenging. Raising children in a new culture brings many questions about different systems and how to support our kids in their education. We invite you to join us to address these challenges together. Let’s talk about different parenting styles and communication methods, improve communication with schools, and understand how important parenting is for your child’s education. We can create a supportive community that celebrates our diverse experiences and helps enrich our children's lives together.

The workshop will be held in 3 different languages, Arabic, English, and Ukrainian in 3 different rooms at Connaught School on October 10th at 6:00pm. Parents can choose the preferred language in the registration form.

Як батьки, ми всі проходимо схожий шлях, але для новоприбулих цей шлях може бути особливо важким. Виховання дітей у новій культурі викликає багато запитань про різні освітні системи та про те, як допомогти нашим дітям у навчанні. Ми запрошуємо вас приєднатися до нас, щоб разом долати ці труднощі. Обговоримо різні підходи до виховання, методи спілкування, покращимо взаємодію зі школами та зрозуміємо важливість виховання для освіти ваших дітей. Ми можемо створити спільноту підтримки, яка цінуватиме наш різноманітний досвід та допоможе покращити та збагатити життя наших дітей.

Halloween at Wildwood

Wildwood School will recognize Halloween on October 31st. Students are welcome to wear costumes, however are under no obligation to do so. Students must be able to get through a typical day of learning in their costume. Costumes must NOT be excessively scary, or have weapons. Students are not to wear masks.

If you have extra costumes, we will have students we are providing for. Please drop off in the office. If you are bringing snacks, they must be nut free, all ingredients labeled, and brought to the office.
