A reminder that there is no school on:

• Tuesday September 30th: National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Classes resume on Wednesday October 1st.

October 6 will be student individual photos. Class photos will be taken in November.

School Council News

There are many opportunities to get involved with the school council. We are looking for volunteers to help with the playground replacement committee, fundraising initiatives, and event planning committees. Casino Fundraiser 

• Wildwood School Council has a fundraiser at Elbow River Casino on November 1 and 2, 2025 and we need volunteers. Our last casino made $80,844 to be spent on field trip bussing, in school activities, books, art supplies, and gym equipment.
• Volunteers fill jobs as general manager, banker, chip runner, cashier, and count room staff. No experience is necessary. Our casino advisor does a great job of explaining your role and the staff at the casino are used to having new volunteers every shift.
• Parents, grandparents, and friends are all welcome to volunteer and no police information check (PIC) is required. 
• You do not need to be a Canadian citizen.

Festive Foods

Thank you to the families who have registered for Festive Foods through the Healthy Hunger portal. Our next lunch is scheduled for delivery on Thursday, October 9th featuring Panago Pizza. 

Please note:

• Grade 5's have a field trip scheduled for that day and will not receive Panago for lunch during their trip, please ensure you pack your child's lunch per the teachers direction 
• Should a strike occur that week, we will reschedule the lunch date with Panago to a future date and communicate the change through the WAG 

To participate, please make sure your child’s Healthy Hunger profile is set up and your order is placed no later than Saturday, October 4th. You can get started by visiting Healthy Hunger - School

We’re also looking for parent volunteers to help receive, sort, and deliver lunches once or twice a month. If you’re interested in getting involved at the school, please email raj.deol86@gmail.com to be added to our volunteer list. All volunteers must have valid security clearance through Calgary Police Service.
