Final WAG of 2023!
While we do have another week of school left, this will be the final WAG of 2023. There will be a short email to all families at the end of next week.
We will send the first WAG of 2024 on January 5th with some reminders for the week of Jan 8-12th. Namely, we are skating (fingers crossed that gorgeous ice stays for us)!!
Gift Cards
We are still accepting gift cards to pay it forward to families in need. Please bring any into the office by Wednesday, December 20th.
Thank You Tasty Treats
From all the Wildwood Staff, thank you for the very yummy treats on Wednesday. We so appreciate being appreciated:)

Music
Recorder Orders
The recorder is a great way to learn how to read music notation and make beautiful music with others! Students in Grades 3, 4 and 5 will be learning the recorder, beginning in February. Families are asked to purchase a recorder kit through your online CBE account.
It is $10.00 for a high quality Handel recorder (german fingering), case and book which also has a download code for the audio to practice at home. The recorders will come to the school where I will label them and teach some songs before they go home. At that point, students are asked to keep their book at home and their recorder will “live in their backpack”, but students will need them for each music class. If you choose not to purchase a recorder kit, the school has a limited number of recorders that students can borrow for the unit, and will receive photocopied pages instead of a book.
The deadline to order recorders is January 31, 2024.
Winter Celebration
The Winter Celebration, for Grade 4, 5, 6 students will be January 25, 2024 at 6:30pm in the Wildwood School gymnasium. Families are welcome to attend. The show is an original production called “Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and the Family Tree”. Please expect more information to come.
Music Class ‘Notes’
While Grade 4, 5, 6 students have been busy preparing for their concert, our younger students have been learning about music concepts such as beat, rhythms, tempo, pitch and dynamics.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the music program!
