Staffing Updates
Ashley White’s (Rm. 8, grade 5) last day at Wildwood School was on November 8th. We wish her well with future endeavors. Please help me welcome Mr. Evan Buzan to the grade 5 team! Mr. Buzan has subbed several times in our building, and is looking forward to growing and learning with our students and staff.
Natalie Robinson, longtime Wildwood lunch supervisor, also had her last day on Wednesday, November 8th. Natalie is returning to her former career. Natalie was instrumental in the transition of Rosscarrock to Wildwood, and has been a steadying figure on our staff. Natalie, you will be missed!
Picture Retakes
Picture retakes will occur on Thursday November 16th. Please inform your child’s teacher prior to the 16th if you intend to have retakes.
Book Fair | Volunteers
The Book Fair is back at Wildwood!
- November 20th -23rd Monday to Thursdays
- Family Night November 23rd 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM
The Scholastic Book Fair empowers our students to choose books they love, and with so many options, they’re sure to find themselves in the pages. This year’s Fair is going to be epic, but we need volunteers to make it happen. We hope that you can offer your time and talents to help students become Bolder, Prouder, and Stronger Readers —which in turn makes them bolder, prouder, and stronger individuals. And since every purchase benefits our school, helping is twice as rewarding.
If you’re available to lend a hand at this upcoming event, please contact me and share which Fair activities interest you most.
Opportunities to assist include:
- Advertising
- Decorating
- Setting up the Fair
- Helping shoppers at the Fair
- Checkout
- Packing up the Fair
For students, this is one of the most anticipated events of the school year—and as a volunteer, you’ll have the chance to experience the Bookjoy firsthand!
Volunteers are required for day shifts Monday to Thursday as well as the Thursday evening shift. Volunteers must have valid security clearance.
Please contact Ms. D if you are able to volunteer.
Traffic Safety
We continue to struggle with traffic safety (see previous WAG’s)
DO NOT:
- Turn around in the middle of the street
- Jaywalk - please use the crosswalks when dropping students off or picking them up
- Use the parking lot for pick or drop off
- Park in the designated area for school transportation (in front of main doors)
Please direct any concerns to 311, either by phone, online or even by app.
