Week of Oct 30 | Staffing, Tissues, Halloween, Fall Break, School Council
Staffing Updates:
We are pleased to welcome Zankhna (Ms. Z) to our learning community. She is an Early Childhood Practitioner working with our K/1/2 classes. We are also pleased to welcome Ms. Sacha as a lunchroom supervisor in our EES classes.
We have extended Ms. Meagan and Ms. Hayley (current kindergarten) FTE to include 2 afternoons a week. Each will be doing focused work with small groups of students. Additionally Mrs. Michayluk will continue to join us for Thursdays until the end of the year. This allows us to ensure we are meeting non-instructional time for teachers.
Tissues:
If you are in the position to send a box (or 2) of tissues to school with your child, that would be very appreciated. With cold season and supplier timelines, the more boxes the better. Thank you!
Halloween:
We are excited to celebrate Halloween with our students on Tuesday, October 31st.
Some reminders to ensure the safety and well-being of all staff and students:
- costumes need to be age appropriate - remember there are 4- and 5-year-olds at our school. All children need to feel safe.
- no weapons
- no full face masks
- must be able to participate in phys ed etc.
If you would like to bring treats, there must be enough for every student in the classroom, and they must be nut safe. All treats must come to the office before going to the classroom. Please label treats (or the bag the treats are in) with your child's name and teacher's name.
Fall Break:
This is a reminder that students do not have school from November 9 (no school), returning on November 15th.
