A friendly reminder that Monday, October 19th is a Professional Learning Day and there are no classes.
Weather is Changing!
It is that time! Please ensure that children come to school every day ready for cold/wet weather. As you know, the weather in Calgary can change quickly and significantly - children need to have warm outdoor clothes. Outdoor clothes should include: a toque, mittens, a thick jacket or layers, socks and warm shoes or boots. All children should have indoor and outdoor shoes. Please label your child’s items. The lost and found is already overflowing!

Playground Replacement
We need your votes! The Wildwood Playground Replacement Project is in the running for $15,000 in funding from the Field Law Community Fund Program. Show your support and help us spread the word about this fantastic opportunity. Everyone can vote once per device (one vote per phone, tablet, computer, laptop, etc). Please forward this email to friends, family, neighbours, and anyone else who might want to support this important project. Voting closes November 20.

Tasty Treats
Our first Tasty Treats of the year is coming up. This is an opportunity to thank our incredible staff. We are asking our Grade 3 and 5 families to please bring a nut free, sweet or savoury snack to the office on the morning of October 21 for our teachers and support staff. Thank you for helping us recognize our staff.
Sun-Oka Apples
Apple pick up will be held the afternoon of Monday, October 19 between 2:30-4:00pm in the school courtyard area. If you are unable to pick up during this window please text 403-354-6995 to make alternate arrangements. Any apples that have not been picked up or do not have alternate arrangements for pick up/drop off in place by Friday, October 23 will be donated to the school.
Festive Foods
Thank you to the families who have registered for Festive Foods through the Healthy Hunger portal for our first couple of months of lunches! Our next lunch is scheduled for delivery on Thursday, October 22nd featuring Panago Pizza.
To participate, please make sure your child’s Healthy Hunger profile is set up and your order is placed no later than Saturday, October, 17th. You can get started by visiting Healthy Hunger - School. We are continuing to update the scheduled lunches in the portal, please ensure you check the WAG and the portal to ensure you don't miss ordering!
We’re also looking for parent volunteers to help receive, sort, and deliver lunches once or twice a month. If you’re interested in getting involved at the school, please email raj.deol86@gmail.com to be added to our volunteer list.
